Palexco reaffirms its commitment to meeting tourism and will be a fundamental pillar for being the city’s congress center, for its track record and for its great knowledge of the sector.
Palexco will close 2021 with the celebration of 45 MICE events (Anglo-Saxon acronym for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) of which ten will be congresses that will bring together more than 150,000 participants. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the palace has developed a demanding contingency plan to cover all Covid-19 prevention needs so that events, congresses or professional meetings can take place in complete safety. Now, with its integration as a patron of the A Coruña Convention Bureau, Palexco reaffirms its commitment to meeting tourism and will be a fundamental pillar for being the city’s congress center, for its track record and for its great knowledge of the sector.
“We consider that the Convention Bureau is a key tool to position the brand of the city of A Coruña in the professional sphere, both nationally and internationally. Currently A Coruña is quickly recognized for its landscapes and gastronomy, but little known for its offer and professional possibilities, and that is where with the strength of the union we can achieve the goal of brand recognition ”, explains Juana Abellaneda, director of Palexco . In fact, one of the fundamental aspects is the defense of the candidatures, since there are many Spanish and international cities that bet very strongly to bring congresses to their cities, because of the great economic impact that they contribute to the city and because of both make a great effort in the candidacies; subsidizing the venues and trips or providing financial aid or for specific services.
