Palexco is already working by 2021 in the organization of eight major congresses, twelve Mice events, five shows and seven social events, waiting to be able to resume the “normalized” activity from the second semester.
Last year Palexco held more than fifty events that added around 20,000 attendees, both in person or online. In a 2020 marked by the pandemic and the great mobility restrictions that seriously affected almost all sectors, and specifically the Mice sector (tourism for meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) Palexco held 56 events: of which 3 were conferences , 39 company and incentive meetings, 9 shows, five social events and four hybrid events.
2020 started in Palexco with an ambitious calendar that was structured and reorganized when a state of emergency was declared a year ago and the activity had to be suspended. In this context, they decided to bet on virtual events with the creation of The Corner, in collaboration with the company Tesec, a safe space for the celebration of face-to-face, online and hybrid events. A format that, from Palexco, they warn “has come to stay” and that allows any institution to hold any congress or event with all security measures, fully adapted to the requirements of the new formats and favoring the holding of face-to-face events with capacity reduced, in addition to those carried out online or hybrid. Since the end of September, when the activity began at The Corner, A Coruña has positioned itself as a benchmark in the celebration of events thanks to the privileged location of the Palexco set and the careful technical and audiovisual production that has allowed broadcasts with the highest quality not only image, but also sound.
New dates
From the Palexco management, they positively value the closing of 2020 in which more than 20,000 people passed through the facilities, despite the fact that most of the congresses were forced to change dates, even years and many others were canceled. In fact, with the opening of the latest restrictions, which since last February have allowed the organization of events in auditoriums with a capacity of 30%, Palexco once again retakes the agenda of those who can adapt to these limitations.
